Infrastructure United States Standard or protocol

FERC approved CIP-015-1 on 26 June 2025. It requires internal network security monitoring inside the electronic security perimeter of high-impact and medium-impact bulk electric system cyber systems with external routable connectivity. The standard becomes effective 36 months after approval, on the first day of the following calendar quarter, first for control centres and backup control centres, with other applicable systems following on the later date in the implementation plan.
