Lookout Threat intelligence and IP reputation
A living picture of who is dangerous on the internet, so your defences recognise an attacker on sight.
Most attacks do not arrive from nowhere. The address scanning your gateway this morning has usually been scanning somebody else for weeks; the site a phishing link points at has usually been reported already. Lookout is the part of the platform that keeps track of all of that and pushes it down to your defences continuously.
It draws on public and community intelligence, on reputation and exploitation data, and on what our own fleet sees, and turns it into a verdict your gateway can act on in microseconds: this address is hostile, this destination is known-malicious, this file fingerprint is known malware. That is what lets Seawall block on sight rather than waiting for something to go wrong first.
It works the other way too. When you want to know about a specific address (one in a log, one in an email header, one your insurer asked about) you get the full dossier: reputation verdict, who owns the network, where it is registered, what it has been seen doing, and where to look next.
The same intelligence is what makes our free public tools genuinely useful rather than a demo. What you can query on our website is a window onto the corpus your gateway is already using.
What Lookout does
Continuously refreshed
New intelligence reaches your gateway without a maintenance window or a manual update.
Full dossiers on demand
Verdict, network owner, registry, geography and history for any public address.
Malware fingerprints
Known-bad file hashes, so a recognised sample is stopped before it is opened.
Usable from your own tools
Available through the platform and over an interface your team can query directly.
- Continuous threat data feeding your gateway's blocking decisions
- On-demand intelligence dossiers for any public address you need to explain
- A malware fingerprint corpus checked against files crossing your network
- The same corpus behind our free public lookup tools, so you can try before you buy
Threat awareness feeding risk analysis, and the proportionate technical measures that follow from it.
And IMO maritime cyber resilience: IACS UR E26/E27
IACS UR E26 §4.3.1: network monitoring and threat awareness feeding the ship's cyber risk assessment.
