Essentials

We lay the rails and teach you to drive. You get the entire platform, set up against your estate, with the training to operate it, and you decide how often we come back to check it is still working.

What "the rails" means

Not a trial, not a starter tier. The complete platform, working, on day one.

Essentials is the whole thing: the gateway protecting your boundary, the agent on every machine, the inventory, the vulnerability queue, the backups, the access control, the event record and the compliance registers. Nothing is fenced off for a higher plan, because a security control you were sold half of is not a control.

What you are choosing when you choose Essentials is that you operate it. That is a real choice and often the right one: if you have someone technical and the estate is not sprawling, running your own security is cheaper, faster to change, and keeps the knowledge in the building.

What is included

1

The platform

Every capability, licensed for your estate, on hardware we supply or your own.

2

Onboarding consultation

We assess what you actually run, what you must comply with, and where the real exposure is, then plan the rollout in order of risk.

3

Training

For the people who will operate it, and separately for management, who NIS2 expects to understand the risk personally.

4

A review rhythm

Retraining and an effectiveness review on the cadence you choose, or none, if you would rather call us when you need us.

Choose your review cadence

Security decays quietly: people change, the estate grows, and the thing that was configured correctly a year ago is now protecting a network that no longer exists. A review is how you find that out before an incident does.

Every 3 months

Tight

For estates that change fast, or where an auditor, insurer or customer is actively watching. Four checkpoints a year keeps drift small enough to fix in an afternoon.

Most choose this Every 6 months

Balanced

Enough to catch staff turnover and a season of change, without becoming a standing meeting nobody prepares for. The usual answer for a stable operation.

Every 12 months

Annual

A yearly reset that lines up with most audit and insurance cycles. Suits a small, settled estate with one confident operator.

None

On demand

No scheduled review at all. The platform keeps working and keeps recording; you call us when something changes. Cheapest, and genuinely fine for some.

What happens at a review

We re-run the posture assessment against your live estate and compare it to the last one; we retrain anyone who has joined or changed role and refresh the rest; we test whether the controls are still doing what they were put in for; and we write down what we found, including what has slipped. You get the report and the evidence, whether or not you act on it.

Essentials is right for you if

A good fit
  • You have at least one technically confident person who can own it
  • You want the protection in place quickly and without a long project
  • Your obligations are real but you are not audit-facing every quarter
  • You would rather keep the knowledge in the building than buy it back every year
Look at another plan
  • Nobody has time to own it: see without an IT team
  • You only want part of the platform: see Custom
  • You need someone accountable for the security function: see Complete
  • You are in a regulated, audit-facing position with tight reporting duties

Start with the onboarding assessment

It is the first thing in Essentials and the most useful thing we do: what you run, what you must comply with, and what to fix first. Everything after that is easier to decide.
