Helm Identity and access management
Clear control of who can do what, with reviews, strong sign-in and instant cut-off when someone leaves.
The most common way into an organisation is not a clever exploit. It is an account: one that should have been closed, one that had more access than the job needed, or one protected by a password alone.
Helm is where access is decided and recorded. Every person has one identity, with the permissions their role actually requires and no more. Sign-in can be protected with a second factor. When somebody leaves or changes role, access changes with them, and there is a record of when, and who approved it.
It also runs the review that regulators ask about: a periodic pass over who has access to what, signed off by the person accountable for it, with the outcome kept. That is a task most organisations do badly because it is tedious to assemble; here the list assembles itself.
For our managed customers, the credentials that our own platform uses on your systems are held under the same discipline: per-organisation, rotatable, and never shared between customers.
What Helm does
Least privilege by default
Roles grant what the job needs; anything more is a deliberate, recorded decision.
Strong sign-in
Second-factor authentication for the accounts that matter, including remote access.
Clean offboarding
Leavers lose access immediately, and the record shows exactly when they did.
Access reviews that finish
Periodic reviews with the list pre-assembled and the sign-off kept as evidence.
- Role-based access across the platform with per-organisation separation
- Multi-factor authentication and session control
- Joiner, mover and leaver handling with a dated record of each change
- Scheduled access reviews with exportable sign-off
Access control, multi-factor authentication, asset-access policy and human-resources security.
And IMO maritime cyber resilience: IACS UR E26/E27
IACS UR E27 items 1-8 & 31 / E26 §4.2.4: identification, authentication, least privilege and multi-factor access over untrusted networks.
