MaritimeInfrastructure International Law

Maritime single windows for ship clearance data have been mandatory under the FAL Convention since 1 January 2024. FAL 50 (March 2026) approved amendments requiring Contracting Governments to apply mandatory cyber security measures to their single windows, together with advance passenger and crew information requirements. Adoption is planned at FAL 51 in 2027 with expected entry into force on 1 January 2029. FAL 50 also started work on a non-mandatory maritime cyber code.
