NIS2 lists sea and coastal passenger and freight water transport companies, managing bodies of ports and port facilities, and operators of vessel traffic services (VTS) in Annex I as transport entities. Member States had to transpose by 17 October 2024 and apply the rules from 18 October 2024, with registration, risk management measures and 24-hour incident reporting.
