Machinery Regulation applies, with cyber requirements
The Machinery Regulation replaces the Machinery Directive on 20 January 2027. New for manufacturers: machinery must be protected against corruption of its control logic and software (Annex III, 1.1.9 and 1.2.1), safety-relevant software updates need traceability, and certain high-risk machinery listed in Annex I needs third-party assessment. Machinery already on the market is not affected.
