Maritime EU Law

From 1 January 2027 offshore ships of 5,000 GT and above (offshore supply, construction, accommodation and similar vessels) are inside the EU ETS for emissions on voyages to, from and between EU/EEA ports and at berth. Their operators have reported under the MRV regulation since 2025. The first surrender for 2027 emissions falls due on 30 September 2028.
