From 18 February 2027 every light means of transport battery, industrial battery above 2 kWh and electric vehicle battery placed on the market needs a digital battery passport reachable through a QR code, with data on composition, carbon footprint, performance and durability. Battery due diligence duties were postponed separately to 18 August 2027.
